Jane graduated from the University of NSW in 1986 with an Honours degree in the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture. In March 1984, she formed O’Hanlon Design with the architect, Terry O’Hanlon. Since 1986, O’Hanlon Design Pty Ltd has been providing landscape architectural solutions for the design and
documentation of residential, commercial and local government landscape projects. In addition, O’Hanlon Design also provided contract administration on these projects.
Jane has acted as team leader for several large projects. These include the following:
- Reiby Road Residence, Hunters Hill
- Mowbray Street Units, Sylvania
- Southcombe Residence
- Clark Residence, Hunters Hill
- Provided visual impact assessment and acted as expert witness for proposed coal mines in the Hunter Valley, some of which included Bengalla, Dartbrook, Anvil Hill and Moolarben
- Clovelly Beach Improvement Scheme
- International Regatta Course for the Sydney 2000 Olympics at Penrith Lakes (special area of talent and knowledge)
- Timbrell Park (Landscape Masterplan and Architectural structures)
