Mt Carmel Catholic College, Varroville – New TAS & Science Building

The project at Mt Carmel Catholic College consists of the design of a new STEM building for the school, collocating a variety of teaching spaces that had previously been dispersed across the sprawling school campus.

The new building houses various TAS workshop and classroom spaces, as well as state of the art science labs and learning hub that have been designed to facilitate and support contemporary learning methodologies, group collaboration, and hands-on learning. It was important to provide space for informal learning areas in the form of a central learning hub on each floor, maximising the flexibility within these spaces with moveable furniture to cater for fluctuating group sizes and varied activities.

This project also includes the refurbishment of a variety of spaces across the site, including classrooms, administration areas, as well as fitness and art facilities.
