Starting as an upgrade to existing facilities it soon became apparent that the existing structure was failing. Constructed circa 1850 this cavity brick structure with sandstone footings had extreme structural issues with the external wall bowing causing severe cracking in the brickwork.
QOH worked closely with the structural engineer coming up with a creative solution insuring the longevity of the building by transferring the load of the structure from the sandstone footings to new structure. The success of this project was due to the team effort and active communication between QOH, the structural engineer and the builder.
