The design philosophies embedded into the concept avoid the institutional feel by limiting dead end corridors, providing circulation loops, naturally sun lit and ventilated areas, creating strong connections to landscaped outdoors space and accommodating domestic laundry and kitchen facilities.
The two-story built form allowed the creation of avoid spaces to enhance the ambiance and functionality of circulation zones as well as thermal stack initiatives.
The circulation zones are designed to offer a mix of opportunities for larger mandated areas but also spaces for smaller groups and families. Each individual unit offered its own private amenities and outdoor space, in the form of a terraces and verandahs.
Overall the design seeks to reveal the sites potential within a realistic construction framework to enrich the area and its resident’s lives.
